| How does it sense there is a fire? | The fire suppression units have advanced gas sensors that detect the release of hydrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide gas from a lithium battery prior to a fire explosion. The systems will automatically start up and send alerts. |
| How will i be notified there is a fire? | The fire suppression units will send a SMS to your phone advising the the system has be activated. Up to 10 contact numbers are available. An audible alarm and flashing light will also be activated to alert of the event. |
| Can the units be reused after a fire event? | Depends on the severity of the fire. Many parts may be reused, however it is recommended to replace important components such as the fire proof screen, sensors , custom airbag on EV model and electrical components to ensure reliability. |
| How do i arrange replacement unit after a fire event? | EVFSS PTY LTD can provide a recovery service, decommissioning and recommissioning of your your fire suppression unit. General this would go through insurance. |
| Are the fire suppression units able to be viewed. | Yes, EVFSS PTY LTD has three protype units available for viewing on request. |
| How much water do the units hold and what type of fire suppression agent is used? | Approx capacities EVFSS 1 - Ebike = 140L The fire suppression unit use fresh water only. This is the most effective fire suppression fluid and can simply be topped up with mains water if required, |
| Can the fire suppression system owner regularly test units. | Yes, EVFSS 1&2 are easy to test run and this is recommended periodically. EVFSS 3 is recommended to be regularly tested by a qualified trained technician. This will ensure the high performance and reliability of the unit is not compromised. |

| Are the fire suppression units connected to services? | The fire suppression units are completely independent , self-operating and require no connection to mains power or water supply. The units use high quality and capacity batteries to run water pumps and electrical systems. Solar PV may be used to maintain full battery capacity. |
| How do the fire suppression units work? | EVFSS 1 &2 EVFSS 3 This unit operates similar to the other units with the addition of an inflatible airbag surrounding the vehicle when deployed from a floor channel. The unit also has provision for the Fire Services to flood the vehicle battery pack via a high flow spray bars system underneath vehicle. This unit also incorporates a charging cable management system that is capable of positioning the connector 360 deg around the vehicle. Ideal for carrying heavy cables and particularly useful for the elderly and people disabilities. |
